Clondalkin Civic Offices
In 1994, South Dublin County Council was formed from Dublin County Council. One aim of this local government reorganisation was to bring local democracy and local authority services closer to the people. The Clondalkin area has benefited from this change with the opening of the Civic Centre which provides access to the services of South Dublin County Council.
Located in the heart of Clondalkin Village, this impressive building has become a hub of activity for the people of Clondalkin and hosts many of the counties events. We felt it was important to include the Civic Offices as a venue for the Red Line Book Festival as it is such a central location for the people of South Dublin and specifically Clondalkin.
This three storey red brick building wraps around the curve of Orchard Road /9th Lock Road, opposite the Garda Station, and the Mill Shopping Centre, near the heart of Clondalkin Village.
It can be accessed by the following bus routes: 13, 51d, 51x, 68/a, 69, 69n, 76a, 76
